I say experiment a little and come with whatever version you like best. Pat the roast dry with a clean kitchen towel, then rub the mixture all over the pork roast. They just didn't tell you about it.For my finishing Piedmont sauce I don't use any ketchup - I prefer tomato paste a little roasted garlic.I don't use anything with high fructose corn syrup which most ketchup includes. give it a try before you snub your nose!
